SPROWT Foundation Celebrates 20 Years of the UN Global Compact Network Portugal

On October 10, 2023, the 20th Anniversary of the UN Global Compact Network Portugal was celebrated at the Port of Lisbon Administration.

This event, titled “The Future of Business for a Sustainable World,” aimed to highlight the foundational Ten Principles of the initiative in the areas of Human Rights, Labor Practices, Environmental Protection, and Anti-Corruption, as well as the challenges addressed in the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Rumina Fateally, Chairperson of SPROWT, participated in the event, representing SPROWT and reaffirming the organization’s commitment to supporting the SDGs. SPROWT’s alignment with the principles of the UN Global Compact underscores its dedication to fostering sustainable development and empowering communities. As shared by Rumina, ‘It is important to understand the dynamics, participate actively so we share and learn. We continue to engage according to SPROWT’s vision, and as a leader, being part of this important event-celebration was our pledge and manifestation of our alignment for a better today and future.’
