Breakfast Live is an executive event organized by the PIONEER Leadership Network for Women in Africa, featuring a breakfast designed to facilitate dialogue and the sharing of life experiences among guests. This format fosters stimulating conversations in a relaxed, social setting for distinguished individuals and leaders from various organizations.
Supported by the SPROWT Foundation, the event aims to promote gender equality, quality education, and the development of Mozambique by empowering women, children, and organizations. Breakfast Live highlights the importance of each individual’s unique qualities, promoting diversity, inclusion, and personal growth, and strives to create a significant social impact in Mozambique and across Africa.
1st Breakfast
The first Breakfast Live, hosted by the SPROWT Foundation, featured Her Excellency Dr. Esperança Bias, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique. She shared her journey as a woman leader and, most importantly, insights about herself as an individual.
Joining the discussion and asking her excellency questions were João Figueiredo, Ambassador of the SPROWT Foundation; Dr. Ernesto Macuácua, Founding Member of the SPROWT Foundation and Head of Gender, Governance, and Ethics; and Rumina Fateally Noormahomed, Chairperson of the SPROWT Foundation. This event was filled with leadership, laughter, and inspiration.
At the event, there was an auction featuring artworks created by artists who participated in the 1st Genderful Society Exhibition. These artists graciously decided to join the Breakfast Live and auction their paintings for SPROWT causes. Among these works were ‘Challenges, trajectory, and empowerment of women’, expressed in the artwork by Dora Sumbana and ‘The equitable distribution of opportunities in society’, through the artwork by Sebastião Coana.
